The Dutch EQAVET NRP, housed within educational research and consultancy bureau CINOP, hosted the Peer Review in Utrecht, the Netherlands on 17-19 April.

Six EQAVET Network members from Belgium-fr, Bulgaria, Finland, Malta and Slovenia acted as peers.

The Netherlands has a long tradition of formal student involvement in quality assurance and is now working on developing an inclusive approach to student participation.

Teachers also have an important part to play both as individuals and as part of education teams, which take the lead for quality in VET schools.

The Peer Review focused on:

  • the involvement of students in quality assurance in upper secondary VET;
  • the role of teachers in quality assurance and how students’ further involvement impacts them.

Read the flash report summarising the main outcomes of the discussion.

Another report with detailed feedback from the peer reviewers will be shared with the host country.
