The European Alliance for Apprenticeships is a multi-stakeholder initiative steered by the European Commission. The originator of the pledge is solely responsible for implementing the actions outlined in the pledge.
Description of the Organisation:Afpa, the French national agency for adults' VET, is a major VET actor in France and has been an invaluable partner of the French Ministry of Labour for over 70 years. Afpa designs and implements occupational standards, certification and qualification programmes and assessment tools at the national level, while contributing to professional and social integration by supporting job seekers and employees. Afpa represents more than 110 training centres, all fully equipped and offering a professional environment, training opportunities, and the services of 3,000 professional trainers to over 110,000 trainees. Afpa received the Erasmus+ Mobility accreditation in 2023, demonstrating the capacity for its apprenticeship training centres to increase apprentice mobility in Europe. Afpa cooperates with important VET European associations, such as the European VET Association (EVTA) and the European Association of Institutes for Vocational Training (EVBB).
