Description of the Organisation:
Erhvervsskolernes ElevOrganisation (EEO), founded in 1996, is the national students union representing students of vocational education and training (VET) courses in Denmark (e.g., HTX, EUD, EUX, SOSU, and PAU). EEO focuses on technical and social care VET and technical secondary education (HTX). EEO's primary purpose is to ensure that VET and HTX students have a say in their education paths and create favourable and fair conditions for student councils in their schools. This goal is achieved through the organisation of student councils, student representation on school boards and other instances where they can exert influence through parliamentary and extra-parliamentary work. EEO continuously fights for the rights of the students they represent. This fight is even more important when contextualised in the current need for VET students in Denmark: Denmark is projected to need almost 100,000 VET graduates by 2030.
