The European Alliance for Apprenticeships is a multi-stakeholder initiative steered by the European Commission. The originator of the pledge is solely responsible for implementing the actions outlined in the pledge.
Description of the Organisation:Operating under the Ministry of the Economy and Maritime Affairs, Turismo de Portugal (TdP) is Portugal’s National Tourism Authority. Responsible for the promotion, enhancement, and sustainability of the tourism business, it brings together all the institutional competences involved in making tourism more dynamic, from supply to demand. Enjoying a privileged relationship with other public entities and economic agents in Portugal and abroad, TdP are committed to strengthening tourism as one of the main driving forces for the growth of the Portuguese economy. TdP manages a network of 12 schools that aim to teach and train young people, adults, and professionals to prepare them to become the best professionals in the tourism sector. With curricular programs adapted to the needs of the market, TdP Schools have a 94% graduate employment rate. We graduate 3000 young people and 7500 professionals each year and provide online training for more than 30000 people each year (after 2020).
