The European Alliance for Apprenticeships is a multi-stakeholder initiative steered by the European Commission. The originator of the pledge is solely responsible for implementing the actions outlined in the pledge.
Description of the Organisation:Along with BusinessEurope and ETUC, SGI Europe is one of the three European general cross industry social partners. SGI Europe is an actor in the European social dialogue, having a voice in the European bipartite – in negotiating with trade unions – and tripartite – with social partners and representatives of the EU institutions – social dialogue at the highest level. SGI Europe also carries out projects promoting the importance of modern public services in Europe. SGI Europe intends to bring a new light on services of general interest, their modernisation and their central role in citizens’ lives. In the context of its activities in the field of education and training, SGI Europe is a firm advocate of the dual learning systems and carried out numerous projects, independently or together with the other cross-sectoral social partners organisations, aiming at reinforcing the quality, visibility and effectiveness of apprenticeship systems in Europe.
