The European Alliance for Apprenticeships is a multi-stakeholder initiative steered by the European Commission. The originator of the pledge is solely responsible for implementing the actions outlined in the pledge.
Description of the Organisation:SNCF is the main railway company in France. SNCF, with about 150 thousand employees, is composed of a mother company and four main daughter companies, whose key activities are infrastructure management and train operations. SNCF deals with skills management and has in-house training providers for young apprentices who wish to join the company. SNCF offers a large number of apprenticeship contracts. For the core railway professions, SNCF has a Railway Apprenticeship Training Centre and several training centres throughout the country. SNCF offers apprenticeship contracts for the acquisition of cross-sector skills (such as: HR, accounting, legal, quality, safety, etc.) in cooperation with external schools and universities all over France.
