The European Alliance for Apprenticeships is a multi-stakeholder initiative steered by the European Commission. The originator of the pledge is solely responsible for implementing the actions outlined in the pledge.
Description of the Organisation:Hotelschool Ter Duinen is a contemporary (boarding) school that combines more than 75 years of tradition with an open vision of the future. The school welcomes students every year, primarily from Belgium and the Netherlands to immerse them in all aspects of the catering business. The school offers two vocational pathways at secondary education level: one focusing on restaurants and kitchens, and one focusing on hotels, with both combining theory and practice. The school also has a one-year course in hotel management and offers specialisations in gastronomy, knowledge of wines and beverages, and customer-oriented hospitality. Apprenticeships are a key part of Ter Duinen, with students following six-week or two-month training programmes (depending on their year) and having the opportunity to test their skills abroad. The school together with the placement company are guiding the apprenticeship and bearing full responsibility for it.
