Peer Review on 'The Guarantee for Youth' (a particular measure within the broader context of the Youth Guarantee), Paris, France, 7-8 April 2016

This Peer Review presented the specific experimental measure “Garantie Jeunes” in the youth guarantee (“Garantie Jeunesse”) context. This experimental measure targets the most vulnerable NEETS (young people not in employment, education or training) and supports them by providing a first professional experience, including both work experience and training opportunities; as well as financial support.

The event provided opportunities for exchange with other European countries to discuss different aspects related to the reintegration processes of NEETs including: the role of local partners in increasing NEETs’ chances for integration; the best methods to involve local employers to recruit NEETs and the advantages and drawbacks of having a monetary allowance included in the design of the Youth Guarantee measure.

The Peer Review was hosted by the French Ministry of Labour, Employment, Vocational Training and Social Dialogue, as part of the Mutual Learning Programme.
