Mutual Learning Programme The Mutual Learning Programme (MLP) under the European Employment Strategy (EES) aims to: support, coordinate and encourage mutual learning between EU Member States in order to assist progress towards the goals of the European Employment Strategy, encourage mutual learning opportunities resulting in policy influence at the EU and national levels, disseminate the results of the MLP and their contribution to the European Employment Strategy to wider audiences. The MLP (Art. 149 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union - TFEU) is an important tool for the open method of coordination in the field of EU employment policy. Activities The MLP includes a range of activities: Peer learning events and public conferences – the peer learning events and public conferences of the MLP provide forums for European government representatives and other stakeholders, including social partners, non-governmental organisations and international organisations, to exchange information and experiences on topics relating to the European Employment Strategy and the European Pillar of Social Rights. Database of labour market practices – containing examples of effective policies and measures within the context of the European Employment Strategy. This annual cycle of the MLP is closely aligned with the European Semester of the governance framework of the European Employment Strategy. Questions?
