Peer Review on 'Labour market inclusion of international protection applicants and beneficiaries', Madrid, Spain, 23-24 May 2016

The current refugee crisis is stressing the mechanisms in European countries to deal with asylum requests and general migration on economic grounds. This Peer Review presented the specific Spanish experience on labour integration of applicants and beneficiaries of international protection.

The event provided opportunities for exchange with other European countries to discuss topics related to the evaluation of social and labour market integration programmes, secondary movements (formal relocation, relocation on individual basis), recognition of qualifications, fast track to acquire basic language skills, social integration and acquiring new home society values.

The Peer Review was hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Social Security, Spain as part of the Mutual Learning Programme.
