Under its 2008-2012 National Plan for Alzheimer's and other related diseases, the competent French Authorities are currently seeking to develop guidelines on the support provided in relation to behavioural disorders of sufferers of Alzheimer's disease.

In this context, it is important to exchange ideas and experience regarding the way behavioural disorders are coped with in the different Member States, how they are assessed, how care is provided and how carers are being informed or trained for such cases.

The Peer Review is intended to enable such an exchange of experience and ideas between Member States and to look at best practices in the various areas concerned.
