Food consumed in the European Union continues to be largely free of pesticide residues or to contain residues that fall within legal limits, according to the latest monitoring report published by the European Food Safety Agency (EFSA).

Applications are invited for 7 of the 14 positions as members of the Management Board of the European Food Safety Authority. The term of the mandate will be four years starting July 2018. The final deadline for submission of applications is 19 May 2017
New electronic certificates for organic products imports to be added to TRACES (25/04/2017)
A new system of electronic certification, to better monitor imports of organic products, became applicable mid-April 2017, making the EU a global leader in traceability and in the collection of reliable data on the trade of these products.
