EuroMeSCo Informal Steering Committee meeting

On 23 June, EuroMeSCo and DG NEAR held the bi-annual Steering Committee meeting to present the latest achievements and results of the project as well as to set the objectives and main priorities for the third cycle.

 
SBAC Coordination and Dialogue Event

EU-OECD programme on investment launches FDI Qualities Review in Jordan

The launch of the FDI Qualities Review of Jordan by the OECD, the Ministry of Investment, the EU and the Jordan Strategy Forum took place at a timely moment. The government is revising its investment law to revive falling Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) flows and King Abdallah II just launched the Economic Modernisation Vision that will require significant financing from the private sector, including external financing.

Euromed Justice – Conference on Environmental Law – Tunis, 22-23 June

A conference on environmental law was organised by the EMJ Programme in close coordination with Algeria, the French and Tunisian Ministries of Justice, under the French Presidency to the EU Council. It took place in Tunis, Tunisia, on 22 and 23 June. The main aim of the event was to explore the development of a network of magistrates specialised in environmental law on both sides of the Mediterranean Sea.
