Engaging with the research community is core to ECAT's work, especially when it comes to the investigation of systemic risks, as outlined in the DSA. On 29 April, we kicked-off the work of the Preparatory Action 'Innovation for place-based transformation'! High level speakers such as the Executive Vice-Presidents Teresa Ribera and Raffaele Fitto, and Commissioner Jessika Roswall joined territories and experts in Brussels to discuss transformative innovation approaches to tackle key global challenges.
A Transforming Territories podcast, a part of the awareness-raising branch of the European Parliament Preparatory Action: innovation for place-based transformation. This initiative looks to work with around 200 territories on innovative ideas that can help them transform and become ready for the future- more competitive, more sustainable and more digital.

Under Art. 28 of the DSA, the Commission has the mandate to publish guidelines to help platforms comply with the duty to ensure the safety, security and privacy of minors accessing their platforms. ECAT has supported the development of such guidelines, which are now published for consultation - respond by 10 June!
