Four EU cybersecurity organisations enhance cooperation

The European Union Agency for Network and Information Security (ENISA), the European Defence Agency (EDA), Europol and the Computer Emergency Response Team for the EU Institutions, Agencies and Bodies (CERT-EU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a cooperation framework between their organisations.

 
European Commission reinforces cooperation with Uruguay on interoperability

The European Commission's Directorate-General for Informatics (DIGIT) has started closer cooperation with Uruguay's Agency for Electronic Government and Information and Knowledge Society (AGESIC). DIGIT and AGESIC agreed to cooperate in IT, open platforms, standards and methods where these concern interoperability solutions and common frameworks for public administrations.

 
Call for tender for bug bounty platform providers

The European Commission launches a public call for tenders seeking bug bounty platform providers for its EU-FOSSA 2 project. From 14 April 2018 until 24 May 2018 companies can apply to run the EU-FOSSA 2 bug bounties later this year.

 
What role for women in cyber security?

On the 8th of March, Commissioner Gabriel hosted a discussion on cyber skills and women talents in cyber security in DIGIT. The event was also the occasion to reward senior managers for being advocates for the Cyber Aware Programme.

 
The Open PM² Conference: Project Management for Europe

On 1st and 2nd of February the first Open PM² conference of DG Informatics (DIGIT) attracted around 600 participants from 34 countries and presented to them one common and open to all project management methodology for Europe. 850 people followed the event via webstream.

 
More bug bounties and a hackathon in the next stage of EU FOSSA

What can we do for security of open source software? This was the question after the Heartbleed bug shocked the world revealing a serious vulnerability in the widely used OpenSSL library. With the help of Members of the European Parliament, DG Informatics addresses the issue through a number of actions in the EU-FOSSA pilot project.

 
Save the date: Open PM² Conference 2018 - one common and open project management methodology for Europe

DG Informatics of the European Commission is organising its first PM² conference on 1st and 2nd of February 2018 to present one shared, free and open to all project management methodology for Europe. It will bring together PM² practitioners, trainers and experts from the public and private sectors to share knowledge and experience. DIGIT's Black Pearl building opened its doors to show new ways of working

On 28th of September 2017, DIGIT celebrated its recent move to the award-winning Black Pearl building. Vice-President Ansip and attendees from across the Commission and other institutions were welcomed with practical demonstrations, guided tours and insights from DIGIT's experience in the open space set up.

 
Sharing and Reuse Awards for IT solutions - the winners

A total of €100,000 has been awarded to public administrations that have shared IT solutions and whose solutions have a potential for wider reuse in Europe. Director-General of DG Informatics Gertrud Ingestad interviewed on the importance of the sharing & reuse of IT solutions.

 
DIGIT is moving to open plan office

More than 500 DIGIT colleagues will be moving to a new building on Rue Montoyer 15, the Black Pearl building (MO15) starting from 1st of February and finishing on 22nd of February.
