The Centre of Excellence in PM² publishes a publicly available PM²-Agile Guide

In the context of our PM² solution, the Centre of Excellence in PM² has released the first-ever publicly available PM²-Agile Guide. The new guide replaces the internal version and incorporates extensive feedback, making its approach highly relevant not only to the European Institutions but also to the external community.

The registration is now open for the Sharing & Reuse Conference 2019! The event is organised by the European Commission’s ISA² Programme, under the Romanian presidency of the Council of the EU. If you are interested in open source policies and strategies, and their implementation in EU countries, come and join us on 11 June in Bucharest, Romania.

 
The Women4Cyber initiative was launched

The Women4Cyber initiative, founded by 30 women-leaders in IT and cyber security from public and private organisations, was launched at the European Cyber Security Organisation in Brussels. Gertrud Ingestad, Director-General of DG Informatics, is among the founding members of the initiative, established under the patronage of Commissioner Mariya Gabriel.

 
Commission launches open source bug bounties

The European Commission has announced the awards for its innovative open source bug bounty programme. Software developers, who find security vulnerabilities in the selected open source software, will be awarded between EUR 3,000 and EUR 25,000 for critical bugs.  Additionally, 20% bonus will be offered for providing a fix for the detected vulnerability.

 
European Commission reinforces cooperation with Ukraine on interoperability and digital public administrations

The European Commission's Directorate-General for Informatics (DIGIT) and the State Agency for e-Governance of Ukraine (SAEGU)agreed on enhanced cooperation through exchange of best practices in the field of digital public administrations. This includes different fields of IT, open platforms, standards and methods where these concern interoperability solutions and common frameworks for public administrations.

 
Citizens' Dialogue: Our future for a digital Union

Digital government and better public services were the main topics discussed with Gertrud Ingestad, Director General of DG Informatics at the European Commission and Jean-Paul Zens, Director for Media, Telecommunications and Digital Policy of the Ministry of State in Luxembourg.

 
Digital Strategy for future-proof Commission adopted

On the 21st of November, the College adopted the Digital Strategy of the European Commission. It sets a vision for the Commission to become a digitally transformed, user-focused and data-driven administration by 2022.

 
Stronger together in the World of Cyber: the EU Institutions and Agencies kick off the European Cyber Security Month on 4 October

How are EU organisations cooperating to better fight cybercrime? How are they promoting the ECSM's objectives of cyber security awareness and education? How do these bodies ensure cyber culture is embedded in their staff’s daily work practices? These are some of the key questions that will be asked in a special panel organised to kick-off the Cyber Security Month within the European Institutions context.
