Electrification of the Transport System - Expert Group Report

The report ' Electrification of the Transport System' discusses current advancements and future research needs in the process of electrifying road, waterborne, air and rail transport.
It was prepared under the initiative of European Commission's Directorate-General for Research and Innovation.
The content of the document is based on the contributions of a group of experts in the field of transport.
The work was coordinated by its chairman and rapporteur Mr Gereon Meyer (VDI/VDE Innovation + Technik GmbH) with the support of two co-rapporteurs Richard Bucknall (University College London) and Dominique Breuil (EIGSI La Rochelle).
The insights of this report were used in the preparation of the Commission's Staff Working Document Towards clean, competitive and connected mobility: the contribution of Transport Research and Innovation to the Mobility package, which is a part of the recent Commission's Europe on the Move Package.
