Hack the brain

What is going on in the brain? Can we measure happiness, health, love? Can we influence the brain to improve our quality of life? These and other questions are on the table at the next 'Hack the brain' - hackathon in Amsterdam.

date:  24/06/2016 - 26/06/2016

venue:  Amsterdam, Netherlands

Usually hackathons are events that bring together people dealing with IT software and hardware for them to share their ideas and work on a common project. The hackathon organised in Amsterdam on 24-26 June by FET project Brainhack is not much different – except that the hard- and software is the human brain.

Under the umbrella topic of 'health', participants will be able to use different EEG-type brain-imaging techniques to measure, visualize and interpret their own brain activity – live. The event addresses a very diverse crowd including hackers, scientists, artists, entrepreneurs and anybody who is interested in the workings of the brain.

The actual hackathon event with multidisciplinary teams will be surrounded by keynote speeches and discussions with experts, pitches and reflections by the different teams, all of which are open to the public.

Registration for the event is open.

More information about the event is available on the website of the EU-funded Brainhack project.
