Two calls for proposals in the areas of Green Vehicles and Mobility for Growth opened today, with a deadline on 15 October. In total €48,5 million will be made available to the applicants from Horizon 2020 (H2020), the EU's research and innovation framework programme.

The Green Vehicles call focuses on road transport research and innovation and addresses road transport challenges such as improvements in energy efficiency and the use of new types of non-conventional energies.

The Mobility for Growth call addresses mode-specific (aviation, rail, road, waterborne) and transport integration challenges (urban, logistics, intelligent transport systems, infrastructure), as well as cross-cutting issues.
