European Robotics Week 2016

The 6th edition of the European Robotics Week takes place on 18-27th November 2016. The number of robot related activities is expected to reach over 700 all over Europe and beyond as far away as Pakistan this year. Lots of activities are open for the general public and free of charge.

date:  18/11/2016 - 27/11/2016

During the European Robotics Week (ERW2016) labs, universities, museums and schools and companies who are involved in robotics open their doors to the public. It will be a week full of robot related activities. Everybody is welcome, children and adults alike. There will be special visits, guided tours, exhibitions, entertainment, competitions, talks and workshops.

In schools, teachers organise a lot of activities around robots. For the younger kids there are drawing competitions and they build robots from household materials or Lego, while older kids are involved in coding, but you can also participate in several events as an individual person without being a student at a school.

Have a look at the interactive map of the European Robotics Week to see if there is an event near you. Some may require prior registration.

A central event is organised in Amsterdam in The Netherlands with debates and talks. There are also the "Meet the Robots" exhibitions where you can meet real robots.

The week is organised by euRobotics AISBL and aims at inspiring students of all ages to choose an education in technology and to pursue careers in STEM-related fields, i.e. science, technology, engineering and math. Events take place in 30 countries all over Europe and beyond. This year there is an event in Pakistan for the first time.
