The first competition is a research student competition in sustainable surface transport. The goal is to stimulate the interest among young researchers and students in this field.

The final submission deadline is on 31 January 2014.

The second competition targets senior researchers in the field of innovative surface transport concepts based on results from EU-funded projects.

The deadline for submission of entries is on 14 December 2013.

The Transport Research Arena is a major conference on transport research in Europe held every two years.

TRA 2014 will provide a great opportunity for large companies and SMEs active in road, rail, waterborne and cross modal transport, to present their work, innovative products and services, case studies and to develop networking and partnerships.
