The purpose of this contract is to procure the services necessary to organise the activities of the European Commission's ‘Big Buyers for Climate and Environment’ initiative, which builds on the ‘Big Buyers and Networks Initiative’ pilot project.
The main objective is to improve the uptake of strategic public procurement in Europe through partnerships between big public buyers working on concrete projects such as cities, regions, hospitals, central purchasing bodies, utilities, etc.
The way this objective is achieved is by promoting collaboration between big buyers in strategic public procurement to drive the market for innovative goods, services and works. The initiative also aims to contribute to the EU’s economic recovery, and to stimulate innovation and start-ups. The activities carried out in this project should be fully consistent with the overarching aims of the European Green Deal.

The deadline for the submission of tenders is 7 August 2020, 16.00 Brussels time.
