Consultation on Certification of Alarm systems and system components

The European Commission is seeking to collect the views and opinions of all relevant alarm systems stakeholders on the possibility of creating a harmonised certification procedure for alarm systems and system components at EU level.

Moreover, it will gather the respondents' views and opinions on the main advantages of defining harmonised standards and introducing legally binding conformity assessment of alarm systems and system components in terms of reduction of costs and time to market.  Stakeholders are also consulted on the effect of such a procedure on the opening of national markets and on the enhancement of global competitiveness competitiveness of EU companies.
