Building and Implementing strategic Roadmaps of demand-side policy measures to boost demand for industrial innovations

The European Council highlighted in its conclusions of the 1 and 2 March meeting that efforts need to be stepped up with a view to "creating the best possible environment for entrepreneurs to commercialise their ideas and create jobs and making demand-led innovation a main driver for Europe's research and development policy".

This call for proposals invites applicants to develop and implement strategic roadmaps of demand-side policy measures with the objective to increase the market uptake of innovations in any market or sector. Demand-side policies are sets of public measures which could support the improvement of conditions for the uptake of innovations or which improve the articulation of demand in order to spur innovations and allow their diffusion.

The roadmaps will become an integral and very visible part of the horizontal action plan for demand-side innovation.
