The purpose of this study is to: provide a general overview of the current situation in EU Member States concerning the protection of classified information in contract negotiations and classified contracts; evaluate the impact of this situation on the European Defence Equipment Market and especially on the Defence Procurement Directive; and assess the need, added-value and possibilities for EU action.
