Study on control and enforcement rules for geographical indication (GI) protection for non-agricultural products in the EU

Deadline:  06/10/2020

Number: GROW/2020/OP/0010

The study should provide missing data on currently existing control and enforcement mechanisms to ensure the quality of goods certified with an IP right as originating from a specific geographical area, and their effectiveness, costs and benefits for producers and public authorities.

The study should enable to determine what options there are for such a mechanism as part of a possible future pan-European system of IP protection for authentically-linked products other than agricultural.

Deadline for submission of tenders: 6 October 2020 (16.00 Brussels local time)
