Keeping non-compliant products from the EU market

Objectives and description

The objective of this call is to provide financial support to market surveillance and customs authorities to help them pool resources and expertise and to apply SME-friendly methods. In this way, this initiative aims to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of market surveillance systems in Europe. Specifically, it aims to incorporate new technologies into e-commerce market surveillance systems to identify non-compliant products that are finding their way to EU consumers via online platforms. These artificial intelligent tools should be able to detect non-compliant products sold online.

Eligible applicants

Only applications from legal entities established in the following countries are eligible:

  • EU countries
  • European Free Trade Association (EFTA) countries which are members of the European Economic Area (EEA)

Budget and project duration

The total budget earmarked for the co-financing of projects is estimated at €677 960. Financial assistance from the European Commission cannot exceed 90% of total eligible costs.

The maximum duration of projects is 24 months.

Call for proposals

Applicants must comply with the requirements set out in the full text of the call for proposals and submit their application using the forms provided. The application forms will become available on 29 August.
