Call for applications: observers for the nomenclature sub-group of the medical device coordination group

In order to ensure the necessary technical input for the medical devices nomenclature, the Commission is calling for applications from stakeholder associations in order to select observers to the nomenclature sub-group of the medical devices coordination group (MDCG).

This working group shall assist and advise the MDCG on all implementation issues related to the medical device nomenclature to support the future European database on medical devices (EUDAMED).

In particular, the working group will advise in matters related to the update and maintenance of the EU nomenclature. The Commission made the nomenclature available in accordance with Article 26 of Regulation (EU) 2017/745 and Article 23 of Regulation (EU) 2017/746. The group shall also advise on ways to use nomenclature in contexts other than UDI (unique device identification) registration, such as market surveillance.

The submission deadline for this call is 5 August 2019
