The project is divided into two main work areas:

• the first work area is aimed at developing a simulator to evaluate different EGNOS authentication concepts;
• in the second work area, the Contractor will propose EGNOS authentication concepts and, subject to agreement with the Commission, will prototype and test them using the simulator.

The purpose of this contract is not to define an end-to-end EGNOS authentication service, but to develop a platform that will allow for the comparison and characterisation of different approaches. This is a first step towards the potential inclusion of authentication features into EGNOS services (potentially OS, SOL and EDAS).
