Objective of the consultation

Through this consultation the European Commission aimed to collect stakeholders' views on:

• how to better define the 'experience economy';
• how strong the interactions between related industries are (notably cultural and creative industries, leisure and sport, tourism, entertainment and eco-industries);
• which actors contribute to shape it;
• what drives and hinders its further development and the transformation process across various sectors.

Results of the consultation and next steps

The results of the consultation are available in a summary report.

The results from this public consultation will be used to prepare future actions aimed at promoting the emergence of new industrial value chains under Horizon 2020, the Framework Programme for Research and Innovation (2014-2020) or for specific actions under the COSME Programme for the Competitiveness of enterprises and SMEs (2014-2020).

Submission of contributions

The privacy statement explains how the Commission deals with personal data and contributions.

In the interests of transparency, organisations (for example, NGOs, trade associations and commercial enterprises) are invited to provide the public with relevant information about themselves by registering in the Transparency Register and subscribing to its Code of Conduct.

Those who represent a registered organisation are asked to indicate their Register ID number in the questionnaire. Their contribution is then considered as representing the views of their organisation. Responses from non-registered organisations will be published separately.

The Commission asks organisations who wish to submit comments in the context of public consultations to provide the Commission and the public with information about whom and what they represent. If an organisation decides not to provide this information, it is Commission policy to list the contribution as part of the individual contributions (see the Consultation standards in COM (2002) 704 and the Communication on the Follow-up to the European Transparency Initiative, COM (2007) 127).
