Chemicals

Deadline:  18/09/2013

The aim of the contract is to identify, for selected complex chemical substances, the difficulties faced by registrants to comply with the SID requirements under REACH and how they have handled these difficulties in the registration process.

An analysis of these difficulties will be performed to produce a typology and mapping of the difficulties. The approaches followed by registrants to identify their substances will also be analysed and evaluated for their level of compliance with the regulatory requirements, permitting to identify good practices and areas of concern requiring further attention, including, as appropriate, recommendations for improvement. Approaches addressing difficulties that are common across substance types or sub-types will be compared for their relative efficiency in addressing regulatory requirements.
