European Innovation Scoreboards

The purpose of this service contract is to provide the European, national and regional policymakers, innovation practitioners and all interested public with a solid, EU-wide analytical tool to help monitor, measure and benchmark the innovation performance of the European Union, individual Member States and their regions as well as EU's associated countries and other key international economic partners. The contract's results contribute to the implementation of the Europe 2020 Innovation Union flagship objectives.

More specifically, the contract is divided into five work packages (WP) with the following main deliverables:

  • Work package 1: A preparation of the annual Innovation Union Scoreboards;
  • Work package 2: A preparation of the Regional Innovation Scoreboard 2013 including elaboration and revision of the relevant methodology;
  • Work package 3: A preparation of the second edition of the European Public Sector Innovation Scoreboard including elaboration and revision of the relevant methodology;
  • Work package 4: Complementary analytical activities including organisation of analytical workshops and preparation of exploratory reports on further and alternative measurement and analysis of the innovation performance;
  • Work package 5: Dissemination and communication activities
