Call for Tender - Integrity GNSS Receivers

As the European GNSS Programmes Manager, and being responsible for the GNSS service provision, user segment and GNSS applications development, the European Commission is launching this project with the objective of improving positioning services to terrestrial user domains by developing user receiver technologies for integrity monitoring.

Integrity in the domain of Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) has been understood as the ability to provide timely warnings in case of a system failure causing a misleading user position. This concept of integrity has been imported from the aviation community: aviation services are 'safety-critical' and require an extremely high level of reliability of the satellite signals for its use for navigation.

The project activities will be based on three core aspects: the research and development of algorithms to mitigate the integrity faults in terrestrial environments, the development of a platform to monitor and store GNSS radio frequency signal samples and a reference trajectory, and an extensive real data collection campaign.
