The contractor will organise an EU-wide selection and award process for 'European capitals of smart tourism' and the "European smart tourism award'.  Implementing and disseminating activities to raise awareness are also part of the responsibilities.

2 titles of 'European capital of smart tourism' and several (4) 'European smart tourism awards' will be delivered to European cities/destinations in each of the 2 selection cycles covered by the present tender.

In this context, the contractor will:

• Propose and implement an EU-wide selection process and ensure the secretariat of the initiative
• Organise aspects related to the work of panel of experts and European Jury
• Organise the Award Ceremony
• Prepare and deploy awareness raising activities about the initiative and awarded European Capitals of Smart Tourism
