To achieve the objectives of the study, the contractor will need to carry out the following 6 steps:
- Analysis of existing IP laws and their specific interaction with the industrial use of 3D printing technology
- Analysis of 3D printing process and IPR challenges
- Analysis of AM key sectors and markets and IPR obstacles/enablers
- Present an overview of the IP issues resulting from interactions between stakeholders involved in the value chain
- Analysis of the IP issues from the perspective of the 3D printing industry
- Present conclusions and recommendations
