Building the capital markets union remains a key objective for the next Commission. But there are still a number of challenges to meet before it can become a reality. In this context, the European Commission is organising a conference focused on how technology could drive the future of financial reporting within the capital market union. The European Commission is developing the European Financial Transparency Gateway (EFTG), a pilot project exploring ways to solve the problem of data fragmentation with distributed ledger technologies.
