Multi-annual financial framework (MFF) – take part in our consultations and have your say

In 2025, the European Commission will put forward comprehensive proposals for the post-2027 multi-annual financial framework (MFF) and for the next generation of financial programmes. As announced in President von der Leyen’s political guidelines, the Commission is working towards a focused, simpler and more impactful EU budget that reflects the EU’s strategic priorities, with the ambition to be an investment Commission.

As an integral part of the process, the Commission has published a Communication on the Road to the next Multi-annual Financial Framework and launched a series of public consultations to gather views from all interested parties on the future EU budget. Among these consultations, the following may be particularly relevant for you. The public consultations seek your views on the challenges, obstacles and options for example on the mobilisation of private financing by de-risking private investment to finance innovation (consultation on EU funding for Competitiveness) and the well-functioning of the Single Market (consultation on the Single Market).

All these areas correspond to the objectives of DG FISMA included in the Mission letter to Maria Luís Albuquerque to unlock the substantial amount of private investment needed for the green, digital and social transition, ensure better access to finance for EU businesses, including venture capital, and develop a European Savings and Investments Union.
