As part of the process ‘Air quality: revision of EU rules’, the European Commission is looking to consult a wide range of stakeholders – including at two stakeholder meetings. This second stakeholder meeting will receive feedback from stakeholders that will assist in the completion of the Commission’s Impact Assessment for the revision of the Ambient Air Quality Directives.
The launch event for Flagship 7, “Living Labs for green digital solutions and smart zero pollution” will take place on 4 April, 09.00-10.00. It marks the starting point for the communication of the Joint Working Group’s activities to a wider audience.
The resumed sessions of the twenty-fourth meeting of the Subsidiary Body on Scientific, Technical and Technological Advice (SBSTTA 24), the third meeting of the Subsidiary Body on Implementation (SBI 3) and the third meeting of the Open-ended Working Group on the Post-2020 Global Biodiversity Framework (WG2020-3), originally scheduled for 12-28 January 2022 are now planned to take place on 13-29 March 2022, at the International Conference Center Geneva in Geneva, Switzerland.
The upcoming 74th meeting of the CITES Standing Committee will take place in the Metropolis of Lyon (France) and bring together members and observers to review strategic, policy and species-specific matters affecting the implementation of the Convention in preparation for the 19th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to CITES (CoP19) to take place in November 2022 in Panama.
As part of the project ‘Aligning Accounting Approaches for Nature’ (Align), a fourth webinar will take place on Tuesday, 8 March 2022 from 14-16h CET / 13-15h BST focusing on the energy sector. The objective of the webinar is to help companies in the energy sector measure and manage their impact on biodiversity. Corporate practitioners and relevant stakeholders - including BP, Tata Power, Repsol, and Flora & Fauna International - will discuss the biodiversity impact methods and metrics they find most useful and exchange best practices on how to embed these into business decision-making.
