The European Commission has launched an online public consultation on the renewed sustainable finance strategy.

Within the context of the European Green Deal, the new sustainable finance strategy seeks to create a strong foundation to enable sustainable investment and integrate climate and financial risks into the financial system. The strategy will build on previous Commission initiatives in the area such as the 2018 Action Plan on Financing Sustainable Growth and the recently published final reports of the Technical Expert Group on Sustainable Finance (TEG).

Importantly for the EU B@B Platform members, the consultation contains questions on biodiversity loss and natural capital accounting.

The consultation is open to the public and will be available in English, German and French until 15 July 2020.
