The InvestEU Portal and the European Business Angel Network (EBAN) co-organized the European Angel Investment Summit (EAIS) taking place in Brussels on 11 and 12 October. The two-day summit provided pitching opportunities for 15 selected InvestEU Portal innovative start-ups and a dedicated InvestEU workshop on the InvestEU Portal and on Equity Products to co-invest with Angels.

The InvestEU Portal Team also promoted the Portal and the general InvestEU Programme, at the EU Finance Days, which took place in Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Slovakia, Ireland and Latvia throughout the year. The EU Finance Days 2022 are organised by the European Commission services & Representations, with the aim of presenting the new financial and support programmes to relevant stakeholders in the form of webinars.

On 19 January, selected InvestEU Portal project promoters took part in a virtual pitching event with US investors, organized by Invest EU Portal’s cooperation partner Enrich.
The InvestEU Portal and EuroQuity (BPI France) joined forces on 22 February and organised an e-pitch focused on solutions fighting Climate Change. The event was the first of a total of four joint events in the framework of a collaboration between the two Portals.

On 16 September, a presentation was given to the Seal of Excellence Community of Practice. The participation in this meeting results from our longstanding relationship with RTD. More than 300 Seal of Excellence projects are published on the InvestEU Portal. A dedicated tag is flagging them on the Portal to highlight them for investors in search of them. E-pitching women entrepreneurship (29/09/2021)
Together with its partner EuroQuity (BPI France), the InvestEU Portal team organised a tailored e-pitching event on women-entrepreneurship on 29 September. Seven InvestEU Portal companies which are led by women have been selected to pitch to EuroQuity’s investors. The projects pitched ranged from medtech, edtech, blockchain/logistics to fintech.

European Angel Investment Summit (EAIS) 2021 (27/10/2021)
On 27-28 October, the European Angel Investment Summit (EAIS 2021) took place. This two-days conference featured great InvestEU Portal projects pitching to investors and was proud to have Commissioner Gentiloni as a highlevel speaker addressing a keynote speech on the European Commission’s plans to drive investment and entrepreneurship towards Sustainable Development Goals. In addition, Giorgio Chiarion-Casoni, Director at ECFIN L – InvestEU and financial institutions, gave a presentation on the brand-new InvestEU programme, including presenting the InvestEU Portal.
Web Summit (02/11/2021)
The InvestEU Portal Team attended again in person the WebSummit in Lisbon, Portugal from 2-4 November. The WebSummit is one of the biggest tech-events in the world. More than 42,000 visitors attended this year’s physical event. Since the InvestEU Portal was launched this year, the Portal Team presented the new InvestEU programme, including the InvestEU Portal in a dedicated workshop.

With a new tagging system developed, projects which have been awarded a Seal of Excellence Covid19 or GreenDeal Certificate, will be highlighted with a dedicated COVID19 and a GreenDeal label in the Portal.
EIPP has started a new cooperation with the European GNSS Agency (GSA) (22/12/2020)
The EIPP team was invited to the 2020 virtual edition of the European Space Week and joined the panel discussion on “EU Space Programme and Economy that works for people” that took place on 10 December. EIPP is striving to promote more projects targeting the space sector and we expect to enlarge our project portfolio as a result of our collaboration with the European Global Navigation Satellite System Agency.

As a result of the longstanding cooperation between EIPP and EuroQuity, a portal of Bpifrance (France), two first-class e-pitching events have been organised with BlueInvest, an initiative of the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund.
EIPP @ Global Infrastructure Summit, 12-14 October (12/10/2020)
In October 2020, the EIPP participated at this year’s online Global Infrastructure Summit with a presentation, round table and virtual stand to showcase its opportunities to infrastructure investors and project promoters. The Global Infrastructure Summit is the largest conference in infrastructure and was attended by more than 1,000 visitors this year.
EIPP @ Web Summit, 2-4 December (02/12/2020)
The EIPP participated in December to one of the largest tech-conferences of the world, the Web Summit. Compared to previous years where the EIPP attended the conference in Lisbon, the Web Summit also had to go virtual this year. Nevertheless, the Web Summit counted more than 100,000 attendees and 1,000 speakers, including European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and Executive Vice-President Marghrete Vestager. The EIPP was present at the European Commission stand informing visitors about the opportunities that the Portal offers to them.
Info Days for SME support organisations (07/10/2020)

International collaboration: EIPP & Argentina (21/12/2020)
The EIPP formed an informal international collaboration with the Argentinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Agency who is about to establish a project portal similar to the EIPP.

The Portal will be the third pillar of the new InvestEU programme, the EU’s investment support programme expected to contribute to the economic recovery of the EU and to the climate and digital transitions needed for a more resilient European economy.

As 2019 comes to a close, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support in this past year. The year in numbers: the European Investment Project Portal (EIPP) currently features nearly 950 investment projects, almost double, compared to end-2018. The projects are from all EU Member States and various economic areas, with the knowledge and digital economy sector in the lead. The top countries where the projects come from are Germany and Spain, as well as Italy and France. The total investment proposed on the EIPP amounts to EUR 66 billion.

EIPP matchmaking @TEN-T Days (25/04/2018)
The Ten-T Days 2018, organised by the European Commission (DG MOVE), invited key stakeholders to Ljubljana to discuss how to contribute to smart, sustainable and safe mobility, relying on the trans-European transport network and investments in transport connectivity. On 25 April 2018, the EIPP organised matchmaking sessions in cooperation with DG MOVE at this great event for the transport sector. 50 bilateral matchmaking meetings were held throughout the two days of the event. Project promoters in the transport sector met with various investors to discuss and exchange.
EIPP matchmaking @EBAN Annual Congress (25/06/2018)
The EBAN Annual Congress is one of Europe’s largest and most international business angel events held annually by EBAN in cooperation with its key members. After 18 successful editions of the event, the last of which took place in 2017 in Malaga, this year’s edition of the event was held in Sofia, Bulgaria.
EIPP matchmaking @EBAN Winter Summit (22/10/2018)
The EBAN Winter Summit is the leading European initiative which highlights the most impactful best practices, presents and debates the most relevant topics in the early stage investment sector and gathers a community highly committed to investing in European startups. The EIPP organised matchmaking meetings in partnership with the European Business Angels Network (EBAN). European startups and Business Angels met bilaterally to discuss investment and networking opportunities Over 200 participants and 300 bilateral matchmaking meetings were held over this two-day event.

SMEs and investors from across Europe gathered in Graz to participate in another European Investment Project Portal matchmaking event on 20 November 2018. The EIPP matchmaking event was organised by the European Commission as part of the SME Assembly 2018, the most significant event for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Europe, taking place once a year during the European SME Week.

ePitching session following EIPP and Bpifrance/EuroQuity partnership (04/07/2018)
As a part of EIPP’s collaboration with Bpifrance and their portal EuroQuity, one e-pitching event took place on 4 July 2018. It was the first event resulting from the partnership between the two complementary European investment networks: the EIPP and EuroQuity. Participating companies were selected in collaboration by EuroQuity and EIPP teams. The event was a great opportunity from investors to discover from their office several high-potential profiles available on both platforms.
EIPP at the Web Summit in Lisbon (05/11/2018)
For the second time, the EIPP joined the #InvestEU team from the European Commission (EC) at this year's Web Summit. The Web Summit is one of the largest global technology conferences with over 70,000 people attending. Commissioners Vestager, Kind and Moedas were speakers at this year's edition. We received thousands of visitors at EC's #InvestEU stand, where we were able to offer information and answer questions about the many financing, support and networking opportunities offered by the EU to its citizens, including by the EIPP.
EIPP at EIAH Roadshow in Dublin (08/11/2018)
In 2018, the EIPP continued to take part in several roadshow events organised by its sister initiative under the Investment Plan for Europe, the European Investment Advisory Hub (EIAH). The roadshows help to make the European Union´s advisory and project financing services better known, and are a good occasion to meet project promoters, investors, business organisations, the press and other multipliers.
EuroQuity Pitching session, in partnership with Access4SMEs, EIPP and TAFTIE (22/11/2018)
The Innovative Enterprise Conference took place at the Austria Centre Vienna on the on the 21st and 22nd of November. EuroQuity in partnership with Access4SMEs, EIPP and TAFTIE organized a pitching session with 20 of the best companies awarded with the Seal of Excellence.

The Agency for Investments and Competitiveness has become a partner of the European Investment Project Portal, established by the European Commission in order to promote investment projects and investment possibilities in the European Union and to enable projects to reach potential investors worldwide. EIPP’s partners include international financial institutions such as the World Bank, the European Investment Fund, the European Investment Bank and the Council of Europe Development Bank.

EIPP and GIH join forces at the Infrastructure Investor Global Summit 2018 (20/03/2018)
The EIPP and the GIH jointly participated in the Infrastructure Investor's Global Summit 2018, with over 1700 participants. The Global Projects Forum in particular, focused on global infrastructure pipelines offered an opportunity for governments and leading project developers to meet the global finance community and project partners. The Forum was an excellent occasion to show the opportunities offered by the EIPP to investors from across the world, and to showcase the cooperation established with the GIH, already bearing its fruits with several EIPP projects published on the GIH website.

The EIPP took part in this EIAH Roadshow event in Budapest, Hungary - organised by the European Investment Advisory Hub and dedicated to advisory and financing opportunities available for Hungarian private and public project promoters under the Investment Plan for Europe. A review of the implementation status of European Fund for Strategic Investments (EFSI) in Hungary, in terms of lending and advisory support through the European Investment Advisory Hub was provided.

The EIPP was presented at this event organised by the European Investment Advisory Hub and dedicated to the Smart Cities initiative recently launched in Slovakia and to financing solutions available to this sector under the European Fund for Strategic Investments (EFSI). A review of the implementation status of EFSI in Slovakia in terms of lending and advisory support through the European Investment Advisory Hub was provided.

The European Investment Project Portal (EIPP) is the EU's online match-making portal, connecting EU project promoters with investors worldwide. The Portal is a multilingual online platform providing greater visibility and transparency about EU investment projects and opportunities. Launched in June 2016 by the European Commission, the EIPP is a key component of the Investment Plan for Europe, which aims to mobilise the financing of investment projects and create jobs across the EU. The EIPP currently offers over 200 investment opportunities in all Member States.

EIPP Matchmaking Event 2017 (24/11/2017)
SMEs and investors from across Europe gathered in Tallinn to participate in the first European Investment Project Portal matchmaking event, in the framework of the SME Assembly 2017. The EIPP matchmaking event was organised by the European Commission, as part of the SME Assembly, the largest European event for SMEs, taking place every year under the Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
Web Summit 2017 (06/11/2017)
The Web Summit is the largest tech conference in the world, bringing together start-ups and high level speakers from the tech community.
The EIPP had a strong presence at the Web Summit 2017, which took place in Lisbon from 6-9 November. As part of the common European Commission #InvestEU stand throughout the four day event, as well as in the form of a workshop organised for start-ups.
Benelux Infrastructure Forum 2017 (22/11/2017)
The conference has established itself as the industry-leading event for the Benelux region, presenting the latest opinions within the infrastructure market from key professionals in PPP, project financing and future market sectors such as renewable energy ventures.
