The European Committee of the Regions calls for a new Atlantic macro-region to better tackle Brexit and the COVID-19 pandemic

The European Committee of the Regions (CoR) has put forward a set of proposals to strengthen cooperation between EU Atlantic regions to better tackle the impact caused by Brexit and the COVID-19 pandemic. The EU's assembly of cities and regions calls for the creation of an Atlantic macro-region that defines common strategies to boost blue economy priority sectors, including fisheries, commerce, tourism and transport. First "BORDERS FORUM" and the 10th EGTC Platform meeting

Tipperary councillor to lead Irish delegation in EU assembly

Michael Murphy of Tipperary County Council will lead the national delegation of Ireland to the European Committee of the Regions, whose members met on 11-13 February for the first time in their new five-year mandate. He will also lead its economic-policy commission.

Climate emergency: Local and regional leaders call for a Green Deal for the Mediterranean

With the Gloria storm as an unexpected guest, the Euro-Mediterranean Regional and Local Assembly (ARLEM) has celebrated its 10th anniversary in the city where it held its first meeting: Barcelona. Athens Democracy Forum award goes to Mayor Paweł Adamowicz

The international Athens Democracy Forum prize has been awarded posthumously to the Mayor of Gdańsk, Paweł Adamowicz. His wife Magdalena and their daughters Antonina and Teresa received the award from the Mayor of Athens Kostas Bakoyannis at a ceremony in the Greek capital on Thursday, 10 October.

 
Closing Europe's innovation divide: Horizon Europe funding alone is not enough

Galicia and Libyan cities explore cooperation in fisheries
