Studies
Cities and regions are key areas of implementation for the European Green Deal (EGD). This study aims to collect a systematic set of evidence-based information and concrete figures on the different EGD strands, with a view to supporting the political communication in the field, at both EU and at global levels. The study will provide an overview of the impact of the different EGD policies at local and regional level, tracking progress where possible and linking it with global trends; this will be done through data collection and elaboration. The study will deliver a set of thematic factsheets, summarising information and data, also via mapping tools. These factsheets will contain figures coming from various sources, including Eurostat datasets, JRC, EEA, ESPON repositories and other EU official databases, focusing as much as possible on data available at subnational level, including an indication of subnational data gaps in the main policy areas.

In line with the EU Youth Strategy (2019-2027), which CoR has endorsed in its opinion, the European Youth Work Agenda should strive for quality, innovation and recognition of youth work. In consequence, this study should constitute the CoR response to the referral from the Belgian Presidency for an opinion on the topic of: How to strengthen and develop youth work across Europe? How to implement the European youth work agenda and make the best use of the Bonn Process? Considering the role of the CoR, the study would focus on implementing the European youth work agenda and the Bonn Process at the local and regional level within the European Union.
