The final publication of MSP-MED is out now!

The title of the latest publication is: "Towards the operational implementation of MSP in our common Mediterranean Sea: A common planning framework in the Mediterranean Sea. Outcomes of the MSP-MED project". It describes the achievements and challenges of the project and provides an overview of its main outputs. You will find information about setting-up National Maritime Spatial Plans in the Mediterranean Sea and information about international cooperation. You can also find a series of videos on MSP-MED related topics on the dedicated YouTube channel.

Among the pioneers selected for the Woman in Energy category are Anastasia-Maria Moschovi, a researcher converting scientific knowledge into real-life solutions; Silke Wesselmann, the head of office for Climate Protection and Sustainability in Steinfurt; and Agnieszka Spirydowicz, an industry expert developing green hydrogen projects and supporting the just transition.

The community-focused initiatives nominated in the Local Energy Action category feature activities to provide clean cheap energy through self-consumption; a venue dedicated to educating and inspiring citizens about clean energy; and a citizen-led initiative helping residents save money.

The European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) 2023 takes place in Brussels and online on 20-22 June. This year, 60 policy sessions and 7 plenaries will explore issues touching on the theme of ’Accelerating the clean energy transition – towards lower bills and greater skills’.

The groundbreaking EU projects nominated as finalists in the Innovation category this year include a fully electric high-speed ferry, a floating solar park, and an initiative empowering vulnerable consumers against energy poverty.
