CINEA Teams at Ekiden relay marathon 2022

A huge congratulations to all 24 CINEA colleagues who successfully represented the Agency in the annual Brussels Ekiden marathon that took place at the King Baudouin Stadium on 22 October! CINEA colleagues from all four departments took part and formed four teams.

GREEN ASSIST to be officially launched at ECOMONDO

The new Green Advisory Service for Sustainable Investments will operate under #InvestEU and is funded from the LIFE programme. It aims at building up a pipeline for green investment projects with a high impact. Director Dirk Beckers will officially launch Green Assist at ECOMONDO on 9 November, and Florika Fink-Hooijer, General Director DG ENV, will make a keynote speech on the policy perspective by video message.

 
EU Innovation Fund third call for large-scale projects

On 3 November, the Commission launched a new call for innovative clean tech projects to deliver on #REPowerEU and accelerate Europe's energy independence from Russian fossil fuels. With a budget of EUR 3 billion and four call topics, the call is open until 16 March 2023. Info Days to support possible applicants on the new call will take place on 29-30 November.

 
#CEFtransport: Building tomorrow's infrastructure

Last week two colleagues travelled to Paris to visit the “Lagny” bus depots. The project consists of works to install electrical and bio-CNG charging infrastructure in 9 existing bus depots in the Paris region as well as support the acquisition of 303 electric buses.

Discover the Horizon Europe COLDSPARK project

Check their new website to learn more about this project that plans to develop innovative technology to eliminate CO2 emissions stemming from conventional hydrogen production. The proposed solution eliminates the need for catalysts and water, rendering hydrogen production cost-competitive, environmentally friendly and easy to implement.

 
Commission's new action plan on health & wellbeing launched

Be well at work: physically, mentally, remotely and at the workplace. Be Well is the Commission's new corporate health and wellbeing programme, which succeeds the fit@work action plan that ran from 2017–2020. Be Well is the result of extensive consultations with staff.
