Sun&Blue Congress 2023 - with WestMED sessions | 15-17 November 2023 | Almería, Spain

The Sun&Blue Congress is focused on Blue Tourism Innovation. The agenda is tourist-centric. The goal is to focus on tourist satisfaction, quality of experiences, accessibility of services and the long-term sustainability of activities. WestMED's National Hub actively supports the organisation of this event and will also arrange several sessions related to sustainable maritime tourism.

 
Saker Falcon Conference

The LIFE project LIFE for Falcons is organising an international conference on saker falcon conservation and research. The event will take place in Stara Zagora, Bulgaria on 12-15 October. Registration is open until 21 July.

Hack-a-sea: The Black Sea marine environment

The event, scheduled for 12 October 2023, organised by the Romanian National Hub and supported by the Common Maritime Agenda for the Black Sea, aims to discuss about possible marine solutions that contribute to the sustainable management of the Black Sea and its coastal resources. It also serves as a platform to cultivate innovative project concepts for upcoming proposals, fostering partnerships and networking within the region.

 
MSPglobal event

Following the MSPGlobal initiative, which final conference was held on 5 octobre 2021, MSP Global 2.0 will aim to implement the actions identified in the Updated Joint Roadmap to accelerate Marine/Maritime Spatial Planning processes worldwide MSProadmap (2022-2027).

 
Pollutec

The Pollutec exhibition will take place from 10-13 October in Lyon, France. Pollutec showcases innovative solutions and good practices for the environmental sphere. This year, the exhibition area will mainly focus on marine and coastal environmental solutions. The LIFE Programme will be present at the exhibition.

 
EurOCEAN 2023 Conference

The European marine research community, together with the European Commission, is organizing the EurOCEAN 2023 conference in Vigo, Spain on 10-11 October 2023. EurOCEAN conferences are major European marine science-policy conferences organized every 4-5 years. They provide a forum for the marine and maritime research community and wider stakeholders to interface with European and Member State policymakers and strategic planners.

 
Building Renovation at District Level

International experts will present the main findings and recommendations from the IEA EBC Annex 75 project in this webinar, showing the potential for district approaches for cost-effectively decarbonising the building sector.

 
LIFE at Pollutec

From 10 to 13 October, Pollutec will showcase innovative solutions and best practices for the environmental sphere in Lyon, France. The LIFE Programme, including the financial advisory service Green Assist, will be present at the event.

 
SAVE THE DATE: European Week of Regions and Cities

The European Week of Regions and Cities (#EURegionsWeek) is the biggest annual event dedicated to cohesion policy in Brussels. CINEA will be present at the event with a corporate stand at the exhibition where all of the Agency’s programmes related to regional and cohesion policy will be featured. Additionally, colleagues will organise three separate sessions.

 
European Week of Regions and Cities

The European Week of Regions and Cities will take place from 9-12 October. The annual event has become a neutral platform to discuss common challenges for Europe's regions and cities by bringing together a diverse community of speakers and participants. The LIFE Programme will participate in this event.

 
II Sustainable Blue Economy Investment Forum

Building on the success of the inaugural edition, held alongside the 2022 UN Ocean Conference, Portugal is enthusiastically committed to organizing the second edition of the Sustainable Blue Economy Investment Forum (SBEIF) on October 4th. The event aims to address economic growth driven by ocean economy and the role of the financial sector in scaling up innovative and sustainable solutions for climate action.

 
LIFEBIOBEST webinar

On 27 September the LIFEBIOBEST webinar will take place. Based on best practices and findings validated by the LIFE BIOBEST project and Zero Waste Europe network success cases, this webinar aims to present how best to collect organic waste in high-density areas.

 
The 5th European BioClim Wetlands Conference

The European BioClim Wetlands Conference will take place from 26 - 28 September in Bonn, Germany. The thematic focus lies on the impacts and role of wetlands, specifically on river floodplains and coasts, for biodiversity conservation, climate change mitigation and adaptation.
