European Week of Regions and Cities 2023

The European Week of Regions and Cities is an annual 4-day event during which cities and regions showcase their capacity to create growth and jobs, implement European Union cohesion policy. This year, EU Regions Week will take place on 20-22 October 2023 in Brussels.

 
WestMed Stakeholders Conference

WestMED Stakeholder Conference will be held on Thursday, 22 June 2023 in Malta. The event is open to all stakeholders that are contributing to improve the sustainable blue economy in the region. This year’s focus is on sustainable aquaculture, green shipping and ports, maritime clusters and marine spatial planning.

The Conference will be held on Thursday, 22 June 2023 in Malta. This year’s focus will be on the main areas that the WestMED Initiative actively facilitates: Sustainable Aquaculture, Green Shipping & Ports and Maritime Clusters – plus some of the latest developments regarding Maritime Spatial Planning, Sustainable Tourism and Blue Skills/ Ocean Literacy; all lined with inspiring projects that have been supported

 
Blue Skills-Next Wave of learning.

This event will be held in Constanta, on the 21st of June 2023, organised by the Romanian National Hub for the Common Maritime Agenda for the Black Sea. During this event, the concept of blue skills will be presented. Different panel discussions will take place, about blue tourism, innovation and research, blue skills in higher education and fishing. Blue Skills – Next Wave of Learning

Romanian Hub for Common Maritime Agenda for the Black Sea is holding a national event, "Blue Skills - Next Wave of Learning" that will bring together representatives of academia, students, local and regional authorities, and business in Constanta, Romania.

 
EUSEW 2023: registration opens on 18 April

The Agency will be present with a corporate stand and with a large programme of debates and talks including:

SAVE THE DATE: International Paris Air Show 2023

The 54th International Paris Air Show will take place as usual in Le Bourget, on 19 to 25 June. The show brings together all the players in the global aviation industry; and to showcases the latest technological innovations in the aviation field. A number of Commission services, including CINEA, will present the EU policies, strategies and funding opportunities for aviation to a large and international audience.

 
Workshop “Building a strong Atlantic network of Blue innovation”

In a context where the Atlantic Area benefits from a strong network of research and test centers for technologies, especially to be applied in the maritime industries, and while the EU is multiplying initiatives and programmes, support entrepreneurship and scale-up Start-ups and SMEs, this meeting co-organised with CCDR Lisboa e Vale do Tejo aims at understanding what are the priorities of Atlantic Regions, evaluating the adequacy of existing EU schemes with regards boosting innovation in the Atlantic regions

 
Joining Forces for the Energy Transition in EU Fisheries and Aquaculture

The high-level conference, 'Joining Forces for the Energy Transition in EU Fisheries and Aquaculture', will launch the process of establishing the new Energy Transition Partnership in the sector. It will be a day marked by panel discussions, pitches and networking. Registration open until 2 June

 
Save the date: Volunteering Forum 2023

The Volunteering Forum 2023 will take place on Tuesday, 13 June (12:00-15:00) at Berlaymont. The goals are to re-connect with the NGO network post-COVID, with the EC volunteering community, discover new volunteering opportunities, and develop a new approach to volunteering team events.

 
Innovation Fund: How-to webinar and online orientation sessions

Join us on 4 and 5 July 2023 for a two-day event on how to submit a successful application, and learn from successful projects from previous small-scale calls. There will also be some orientation sessions with selected projects to present their project ideas. The event aims to help submit a successful application for the third small-scale call.

 
Join CINEA at the 54th Paris Air Show

Taking place from 19 to 25 June, the show brings together all the players in the global aviation industry to showcase the latest technological innovations. CINEA will be at the European Commission stand and in some side events, along with projects working on green and energy efficient aviation technologies.

 
EUSEW 2023 starts on 20 June!

With more than 60 sessions and 300 speakers, the 17th edition of the European Sustainable Energy Week will take place in Brussels and online and will focus on:

  • skills for the clean energy transition;
  • energy efficiency;
  • ensuring affordability and inclusion;
  • renewables;
  • decarbonisation and international energy systems.
The conference will also feature an exhibition with 35 stands onsite.

Challenges and Resilience Capacity of the Bulgarian Ports in a Changing Black Sea Region

Bulgaria hosts its first national event, “Challenges and resilience capacity of the Bulgarian ports in a changing Black Sea region” on 8 June in Varna, Bulgaria. The event intends to initiate a discussion on the challenges faced by Bulgarian ports and the opportunities for their development. The discussion will focus on perspectives for environmental and energy resilience, good practices from other sea basins and the generation of new project ideas.
