The aim of this specific event, taking place in Brussels on 6th March 2024, is to contribute to Europe’s reflections on what future priorities might be for Europe’s Seas. Discussions would consider not only policy needs, but also the wider economic, technological and social transformations that are occurring within Europe and beyond. In essence, the question to be addressed is: What, in this wider, evolving future landscape, might be the pathways for Europe’s Seas, with a perspective to 2050?
The World Sustainable Energy Days 2024, a leading conference on energy transition and climate neutrality, will take place from 5 to 8 March in Wels (Austria). The LIFE Programme will have a dedicated stand at the event to showcase its activities.
The upcoming 2024 Annual Forum of the "Restore our Ocean and Waters" Mission, will take place in Brussels under the European Ocean Days, and will focus on assessing the Mission's advancements and notable accomplishments. Additionally, it will aim to engage pertinent stakeholders in discussions concerning the Mission's primary deliverables and lay the foundation for the transition from demonstration to deployment in the Mission's subsequent phase.
The second Annual Forum of the Mission “Restore our Ocean and Waters” will take place on 5 March 2024 in Brussels and will aim at taking stock of the Mission’s progress and major achievements, at mobilising relevant actors around key Mission deliverables and at preparing the ground for the next phase of the Mission, moving from demonstration to deployment.

The European Maritime Day (EMD) 2024 is taking place again as a fully-fledged physical event, in Svendborg, Denmark on 30-31 May 2024. As every year, this will not be the only action to celebrate our seas and oceans and the sustainable blue economy. EMD In My Country 2024 events will also take place all over Europe from 1 April until 31 October 2024. In 2023, EMD In My Country was again, another great success, with almost 500 virtual, physical, and hybrid events, covering all the sea basins of the EU! EMD In My Country 2024 will include physical, virtual and hybrid events that will take place from 1 April to 31 October 2024.
