e-Documents Reference Architecture
ArchiMate diagrams visualising e-Document lifecycle
You are building a system for electronic documents.
The e-Documents reference architecture is meant for documents used in administrative procedures. It is organised in the form of ArchiMate diagrams, based on the European Interoperability Reference Architecture (EIRA). These diagrams, displayed as an interactive website, allow users to navigate through e-Document lifecycle and find solutions associated with each step.
The diagrams contain the most important processes and building blocks to help architects of e-Document solutions make informed decisions when designing a new system. In addition, the diagrams include interoperability requirements as well as the corresponding standards and specifications for many of the building blocks.
This reference architecture is based on a report including the analysis of e-Documents solutions in 16 selected EU countries. Please use this report as a supporting document for this reference architecture and as a source of detailed information about the solutions used in the analysed countries.
