Tracy Gunsch

Computer Engineer, US Mission to NATO 

U.S. Dept. of Army computer engineer for 29 years, working in design, implementation and testing of computer networks and Information technology systems. 

From 1999-2008, Trace served as the US Army’s emerging technologies lead and futurist, spearheading testing and deployment efforts for IPv6, Biometrics, Gigabit Ethernet, VoIP, MPLS, DWDM, and many other advanced technologies now implemented in DoD. 

Trace served a tour in Germany, 2008-2013, as senior engineer and program manager, overseeing network design and implementation, data center development and application migration.    

Since summer of 2013, Trace works at US Mission to NATO, actively involved in C3 Board policy development, FMN spiral technologies and NCIA strategic direction.  He chairs the Interoperability Profiles Capability Team (IP CaT) which is responsible for the NATO Interoperability Standards and Profiles repository (NISP).  Trace also leads Architecture CaT Syndicates on Enterprise Architecture and Architecture Building Blocks.  

He holds a BS in Engineering Physics from North Dakota State University and a MS in Computer Engineering from U of Arizona. 

Trace and his wife, Deb, have enjoyed 29 years of delightful marriage and have 3 children, Jesse (27), Allison (24) and Hannah (18).  All five are actively involved in church, sports, academics and arts.
