The Once-Only Principle (OOP) ensures that citizens and businesses provide data to public administration only once, while public bodies exchange this data when requested and in compliance with the relevant regulations.

The Once-Only Principle Project’s (TOOP) objective is to explore and demonstrate the Once-Only Principle across borders, focusing on data from businesses. The aim of the Project is to develop a federated IT architecture and examine it within 3 pilot areas: Cross-border e-Services for Business Mobility, Updating Connected Company Data and Online Ship and Crew Certificates.

In July 2018 Sweden and Greece deployed the first active TOOP implementation within the Electronic Single Procurement Document service and therefore, started the piloting period of the project. Further pilots will be ready to test data exchange using TOOP infrastructure in autumn 2018.

At TOOP stand, you have a unique opportunity to examine in practice, how the OOP may work in relation to cross-border administrative procedures in the EU. Specially prepared touchscreen gives you a possibility to interact with an application presenting different pilot’s animations. Let’s meet at TOOP’s stand and examine how TOOP develops the Digital Single Market!
